Security forces, after issuance of a new Standard Operating Procedure have started a new phase of operation against terrorists and their facilitators in Punjab especially the southern area.
The Pakistani Joint Investigation Team reached India to conduct it’s investigation. The team is being headed by IG CTD Rai Tahir. It comprises of members from ISI, IB and other important intelligence organizations. Team will start its probe tomorrow.
Terrorism revisited the provincial capital after a year on Sunday as a suicide bomber blew himself up in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Park, a recreation facility thronged by a large number of people on weekends, killing at least 70 people, including women and children, and injuring more than 300 others.
