Corps Cmdr’s Meetings

14 March 2016 (Monday):  Corps Commanders Conference was held here today at GHQ. General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) presided over the meeting. While speaking at the forum COAS expressed his complete satisfaction over the progress of ongoing operation in Shawwal and adjoining areas in North Waziristan Agency. COAS emphasized , as we move towards conclusion of large scale kinetic operation in FATA, there is a need to look ahead  and consolidate the gains for long term stability. He directed more effective border management and continued proactive dominance of the cleared areas to  maintain writ of the state in FATA . 10 November 2015 (Tuesday): Corps Commanders Conference was held at GHQ. COAS General Raheel Sharif chaired the meeting.Progress of National Action Plan’s implementation was highlighted as issue which could undermine the effects of operations.The forum also discussed the upcoming visit of COAS to USA, where he will clearly highlight Pakistan’s Perspective of new emerging regional realities. 03 March 2015 (Tuesday): 180th Corps Commanders Conference was held at General Headquarters. General Raheel Sharif chaired the Conference.  The participants under took a comprehensive review of operational preparedness, prevalent internal and external security situation of the country including progress of ongoing operation Zarb-e- Azb. 03 February 2015 (Tuesday): Corps Commanders Conference was held at General Headquarters today. General Raheel Sharif presided over the meeting. Focus of the exhaustive review remained on the most effective implementation of National Action Plan in concert with federal and provincial governments, in order to eliminate terrorism, extremism and sectarianism without any discrimination. 01 January 2015 (Thursday): 178th Corps Commanders Conference was held today at General Headquarters. General Raheel Sharif chaired the meeting. Participants of the conference expressed grief over tragic loss of innocent lives in Peshawar terrorist attack, solidarity with bereaved families and resolved not to stop operations till elimination of last terrorist from our soil. Recent upsurge in Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) across the country was reviewed and its effects appreciated. COAS appreciated resolve of the national political leadership shown during the All Parties Conference.
